In Arusha we started the promotion of the new group. This is the third group in Arusha which will be trained by YEP, in cooperation with TRIAS and TCCIA. We made new flyers and distributed them within the city. In Arusha our target group are young entrepreneurs who already have been in business for at least a year and who want to improve and expand their business. Also we focus on young entrepreneurs in the tourism and fishery sector, since those are the focus areas of the Arusha City Plan 2015 – 2022.
The program was promoted on two local radio stations (Arusha 1 Radio and Sakina radio) during several days. Representatives of YEP Tanzania, TRIAS and TCCIA explained the program, it’s requirements and it’s benefits. After that people could call the radio station and ask live questions and more explanation. A large number of listeners was interested and called the radio station. Entrepreneurs can subscribe to the program until half of March; after that YEP, TRIAS and TCCCIA will visit the applicants at their shop and make a selection. Around 60 – 75 entrepreneurs will be selected to participate in the program of 2019.
